LU BAI

Lu achieved her PhD in Dance Studies from Sungkyunkwan University (성균관대학교, 成均馆大学), under the supervision of Professor Hak-Sun Lim (임학선, 林鹤璇), the first-generation choreographer in Korea. Lu‘s undergraduate studies were completed at the Dance Department of Northeast Normal University (东北师范大学).

 

During her doctoral studies, she presented a solo dance performance titled "Lu Bai's Dance" and also held a prominent position as a main dancer in the Nanuri Dance Company, which was awarded the Best Performance Prize at the Incheon Dance Festival. 

 

As a dance major, Lu received comprehensive training in Chinese classical dance, folk dance, ballet, and modern dance from an early age, while also delving deeply into research in dance theory and education.
